Well, some of you have been wondering why I’ve been so quiet about Thirty Seconds to Mars lately. Truth be told, I’ve just been offline, living life, enjoying the weather. And I was at SXSW for most of last week, so I’m probably still recovering *lol*
Anyway, so I pre-ordered LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS. Got myself “Up In The Air” and listened to it. A lot. And have been reading people’s comments and such. I’m not here to get into all the drama. I’m just here to empty my head of some swirling MARS thoughts…as usual.
“It does play on two different levels; there’s an obvious sexual connotation to the line. … But it’s also about power, it’s about control, and the song is about that,” he said. “It’s about getting to a point in your life where you’re ready to let go and move on and become the better version of yourself, the self-actualized version of yourself. This picture is a fun reminder not to take life too seriously. Shannon’s smile just makes you feel so good, even if they probably have some badass jetlag. I’m not sure which makes me laugh more….Shannon and Tomo being “those guys”, or SL’s caption. Personally, I’d have probably started laughing with them.
